contact your travel agent later this year to inquire about the SQ A380 inaugural flight and make a reservation, you sure need to go to singapore first Big grin and the best way to get updated is to visit both http://www.airbus.com or http://www.singaporeair.com/saa/app/saa

Maybe two years ago I saw an auction on ebay for a ticket for the A380 first flight ! Don't know if it was serious but the guy had some bids for his ticket... I guess it will be very hard to be on the very first flight.
Good luck !

Sometimes you will find ads in Airliners or Aiways magazine offering deals on inaugural flights. I saw a couple of good deals offering the whole package with food and hotel on special last concorde flights. Might be worth looking at!

Get yourself a contact in SQ or airbus who might be able to tell you. Alternatively scan the CRS system - it will probably be under the latest news and will be updated in the system sometime after 1APR/or alternatively not until October when the schedules change. Aim around the start of March06 and scan through the dates until it changes equipment. It's not an exact science but many a time I have come across new flights/aircraft changes before they were announced by looking through Amadeus. You will have to get in quick cos I'd imagine it will fill up a) because of the season it will inaugarate b) it is the first flight. Your best bet may well to be book a fully changeable fare (remembering tickets have max 1y validity) on SQ on a sector like SINLHR for March next year, and change the date to the right one once it becomes announced.

I flew on the inaugural flight of SIA's LAX-SIN nonstop A345 service merely by making an online reservation about 3 weeks before the flight. I was making a trip there for business anyway, so why not take the "historic" flight. I was kinda surprised when the flight was less than 70% full even with all the journalists onboard with freebie rides. They gave everyone onboard a commemorative pewter business card holder as a memento.
