Hi guys,

Started working for a firm with an office in Beijing - going to be travelling there a lot out of LHR with BA. Booked my seat on BA website and got the chance to book my seats. I am in world traveller. It is allowing me to book (on a 772) seat 21a - however, seatguru says this is WT+.

Can anyone help? I dont want to keep this seat, turn up at LHR and find that it is WT+ and I am shoved in the back row.

Thanks people.

Please note I am not doubting the reliability or integrity of seatguru.com , just want to find out for my own benefit.

They have always been pretty accurate with AA & DL. I always check them when I am booking tickets.

I have only been flying with AA since I've used them, but they seem to be on the ball with AA.....

They are generally quite reliable, but BA have more than one configuration in the 777, seat guru only shows one. I had the same problem with a flight to MCO.

I used them to select my seat on a DL flight to FRA last August. It was a 767. SeatGuru.com was absolutely on the money.

Well while that isn't going to happen on this route, why would you not want that? You've scored yourself an upgrade!

Since PEK doesn't offer First I think you'll be on this config

It's worked on all my AA, US, and DL flights...when I get to the screen where I choose my seats, I open up another window and consult SeatGuru.

They're dead-on accurate with most of the major airlines but they have some problems with airlines that have more than one configuration. For instance, their Hawaiian map is extremly innaccurate. You should keep 21A as in case BA swaps 777's, boom you're in an WT+ seat!

SeatGuru is usually right. Versions of the a/c (by airline) can very so it can change sometimes as the airline tried different configurations and stuff. Not exactly sure what happend on that one.

HAHA! Doesn't quite work like that! Change of equipment means different configuration seatmaps loaded at online check-in....although recently the Caribbean routes have been sold based on equipment that is currently being refubished....end result. Pay Club World money for a seat in First (with Club World service) and those in WT can get a seat in WT+
