What airline is this you are talking about. Looking through my phonebook and online I cannot see any airline that goes by the trade name of Quantas. I see the topic starter has corrected his spelling to a more well known airline. My post can be deleted.

Just an update to that old thread.
The flight use to op at Polar 181 and was positioned in from MIA, loaded up in TOL around 2pm on Saturdays and then sent out to SYD via LAX and HNL fuel stops.
Couple weeks ago the flights were changed to operate on Sundays and are now flown by an Atlas 744F. The aircraft is positioned in from ORD and goes from TOL to a fuel stop in HNL and then on to SYD.
The first flight started back in 97 or so and has been flown by an Evergreen 747-100, Gemini DC-10, Gemini MD-11, then the Polar 744F and now the Atlas bird.
Definitely a nice sight to see on a clear day flying over the city. Some more discussion and photos of the flight are over on the flytoledo site...
