Just perusing the recent reports of UAL being given an additional 3 months to file a reorganization plan to the court and the following struck me:

1. Brace said the proposed savings being voted on by employees would fall short of the $725M in annual savings projected as the contracts were for 5 years and not 6.

Where did this come from? I thought all their unions had agreed to give-backs and this concession package. Am I wrong?

United is totally content with milking the ridiculous USA bankruptcy laws for all they can, while other carriers are paying their bills and surviving UA's unfair advantage- Its a joke!!! UA should be forced to come out and survive with all the other carriers- They have had more than enough time to get it together!!!

Like my Grandma says, Sh*t or get off the pot!!!!  Smile

I do, I don't, whatever.......

Living in Denver, I've flown United many times, and the customer service now, is much better than it was before bankruptcy. I give the employees all the credit in the world.

With that said, how many more extensions are they going to recieve? This is getting ridiculous, are my children going to be talking about UA exiting bankruptcy on A.net 10 years from now?

They have not published an exit plan and I'm no insider to any of that. I'll just flip a coin for now!

I gotta meet your grandmother, I like that  Big thumbs up

Anyways, they will pull out. They won't come out smelling like roses, but when it's all said and done, they'll be a better airline for it.
