anyways will Lauda be around flying long haul charters with 767s and 777s? I thought I read somewhere these flights were going to be taken over by Austrian
the 772's (OE-LPA/LPB/LPC) are in use with OS for long-haul schedules (mainly Austral-Asia) and will get OS colors (I think the 1st one is due to repainting in June)
the 763's will be mainly used by OS for long-haul schedules (but also sometimes on short to medium routes when the demand is given) and are also in use with NG for the long-haul leisure flights (like Caribbean area). The 763's are partially in Star Alliance colors (OE-LAT/LAW/LAY/LAZ), one has NG colors (OE-LAX) and 1 763 (OE-LAE) is right now in the paintshop in Shannon (or could already be out of the paintshop, not sure) and will get OS colors - I am curious how the 767 will look like with the baby-blue engines
Regarding the A320's from OS now partially in use with NG for charters. Many people are wondering a little bit for the moment about the equipment swapping especially with the 738's and the A320's. I think it is a matter of seating capacity and because touroperators chartering the aircraft do request A320 in order to have the same aircraft like their competitors using "FlyNiki" or LTU-Austria.
In addition OS group is frequently swapping equipment between 738's / A32x's to stay flexible with seating demand. The 738's will all stay in NG or Star Alliance colors, there are no plans to paint a few 738's in OS colours.
2 737's (one -300 and 1 400-series) will be phased out between June and August.
The "rebranding schedule" of OS group is quite complicated but the final goal will be the separation of the schedule flights (OS) from the leisure flights (NG) as well as the regional system (VO - now operating as "Austrian Arrows").

All airlines of the OS group are going to stay as they are - they just get exactly specified areas:
OS Group is
OS - "Austrian Airlines" for the worldwide scheduled flights
NG - "Austrian Leisure" for the charter flights and Leisure flights
VO - "Austrian Arrows" for the shorthaul/regional flights
6Q - "Slovak Airlines" - unknown for the moment what OS is planning for them
But dont ask to specific - sometimes I have the feeling OS headoffice is also not 100% sure about their group members
Oh by the way - OE-LBR, another A320 of OS - is now under repainting to NG colors

"Slovak Airlines" would probably be an interesting option as a low cost operation from nearby BTS due to its lower production costs and the generally cheaper airport and handling fees in the Slovakian capital.
After all, BTS is only a few miles further away from Vienna than Schwechat...
