love 'em or hate 'em (like WN), they sure know what they are doing......interesting how two different airlines (WN) with two differernt philosophies are doing very well...a lesson to all the other unprofitable air carriers.....

"SINGAPORE, Jan 26 (Reuters) - Singapore Airlines Ltd., the world's second-most valuable airline, dwarfed market forecasts with a 26 percent rise in quarterly earnings on Wednesday as one-off gains offset high fuel prices and low-cost competition.
Analysts said Singapore's state-controlled flag carrier was on track for a full-year profit rise of at least 26 percent to S$1.07 billion ($653 million), its best in four years and helped by a fuel hedging policy and aggressive cost cutting. "

Well done SQ, good results from an excellent airline. The 380 will probably enhance the results from 2006, can just see that premium traffic jump.

you could be right about the 380, but I do not think we'll know anything about it until at the very least, the test flights for it.........like or hate the 380 (i'm of the latter), the next 18 months will be interesting and exciting!

can't wait until I see this BumbleBee land @ SFO!!!!
