Just noticed in the OAG filings that Cape Air dba Continental Connection has dropped Daytona Beach from its system timetables, route maps and website. A quick look in Worldspan shows no more scheduled flights.
I guess this explains why Ft. Myers - Key West is up to 6 daily flights (plus extra sections).

I would really have to wonder how many people were using these flights to begin with...By the time you get to the airport, deal with checkin, security, taxiing, flight time, etc., it might be faster to drive.
