Hi,
Yesterday another Varig 757 had problems in flight, this time, PP-VTT between GRU and MAO. The flight diverted to BSB due an engine shutdown (not sure about the reason, but rumour has it that it was due high vibrations). This was the third problem with a 757 since the type was introduced, less than six months ago.
While I'm not trying to blame Iberia about this, I'm just curious to learn how good is the type's safety and dispatchability record within the airline.
Maybe Varig is just having some bad luck recently...

Hardiwv,
No, Iberia had DC-9s, Md-87s and then A319s in MIA, they never had 757s based outside of Spain.
Twinjets...if one fails, work the other one twice as hard!!!
