I heard that Aeroflot (don't know abbreviation) used to have economy seats that fully reclined, so that they fitted in with the communist culture. Is this true? Any information would be much appreciated.

Now exactly what part of fully reclining economy seats has to do with communist culture? I would tend to think no recline for everybody equally(except of course for those people that were more equal than others - like the politburo) would be about as Soviet as you can get.

I think you are mixing reclining up with the fact that Soviet/Russian aircraft have seats that fold completely forward so it is easier to maneuver/rest your feet. They in no way recline backwards fully. What any of that would have to do with communist culture, I have no idea....
