I'm off to Mexico in a couple of weeks and intend to do a round trip domestic flight Mexico-Merida and return.

I'm trying to arrange a booking which is both interesting for the aviation enthusiast and cheap(ish)...

I've found that Aerocalifornia and their DC9-10s operate daily and are quite a bit cheaper than Aeromexico/Mexicana.

However, it seems also Magnicharters operate on the route, and they are widely reported to also be cheap (as well as a more interesting airline to try). But where can I get prices (incl tax) for them and, more importantly, make a booking? I'm in Australia...

The idea is to fly MEX-MID on JR (Aerocalifornia) on 22 Feb and return on Magnicharters on 25 Feb.

Any suggestions appreciated...
