Aerolineas returns to MEX! Anyone know when the original service started? From what I recall, in the 50s and 60s, MEX and EZE were linked by Trans Canada, but don't know if I'm correct.

Aerolineas last flight to MEX was AR1386 EZE-MEX-CUN-EZE on August 11th, 2000, operated by B747-287 LV-OOZ (now with Air Plus Comet). Later AR kept on flying to CUN only, but with combined flights with MIA or PUJ. Last flight to CUN was a charter one on August 5th, 2001, also with B747-287.

WOO! This is great news for EZE, LIM and MEX! AR now has an AM and PM flight to EZE from Lima. I hope that someone gets pictures. If any of you A.netters fly EZE-LIM-MEX you'll be stopping in Lima during the day, make sure you get pictures!! Good luck to AR on this venture, hopefully someone can give us the loadfactors.

I thought Aerolineas already flew to MEX. I was born and lived in Argentina for 15 years and I always thought that Aerolineas flew to MEX. One question though, I have realized Aerolineas has decreased its destinations to Europe from EZE in the last few years. I remember before Aerolineas used to fly to cities like Zurich, Paris, London, etc from EZE. How come those flights are no longer excecuted from EZE?

Just talk with APM team, they are now at Mexico City international airport waiting for flight AR1368 to arrived but nothing! Anyone knows if the flight is on time, or is it cancelled or what's the problem?? I can't find any information.

Airborn86, yeah Aerolineas used to fly to MEX using B747-200, i think that Aerolineas stop flying to MEX beacuse of 2 probable reasons:
1. There was no PAX demand.
2. The critical economy problem in Argentina
however i maybe lying to you, i dont know the exact reason, maybe Ghost77 knows what happend.

Funny you should say that, since on the night before the inaugural service, the flight still had available seats in both "Ejecutiva" and "Turista", or at least on AR's website...
Any confirmation on whether it was an A310 or A340?

Trust me, it was and A310-300, reg LV-AIV. It came back to EZE from MEX-LIM as AR1369, arrived yesterday February 6th at 1.09pm (on time)
And today, Sunday February 7th second flight to MEX has departed, also in A310-300 (as scheduled). Today's flight left EZE 10.47 am, so u guys will see it in MEX at 7.05 pm (earlier than last friday)
