Qatar Aw should announce their selection between 787/A350.

And if we're lucky, they won't still be in business then.

Keep in mind that Boeing publically announced that they will discontinue holding order announcements for airshows, a few years back.

Airbus still does it though, so should be interesting to see what they reveal.

This is also the first show in a while where both carriers have a new bird of some sort to present: the World's Longest Ranged airliner for Boeing and the World's Largest airliner for Airbus.

Yes, but the fact that Boeing has a policy of not making announcements at airshows does not mean that airlines would not wish to do so.

True, though the only major airline I can recall withholding until a show was EK... and that was due to 1) last minute decisions/deals on their/Airbus' part and 2) a join order in the first place.

Airbusdriver,

Is the A380 for CX something that you are hoping for or have I missed reports? Did I miss any news reports about this? Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks.  Smile

CX has always been very conservative with regards to ordering new aircraft.

Now the CX A380 subject has been beaten to death, but IMHO it will come but not at the Paris air show. A lease from ILFC IMO would be the way CX will go (Remember the A346).

US is in serious trouble so there is no way the CEO would allow an A350 or B787 order.

None of those aircraft are being debuted at the show...only the 772LR and A380 will physically be there.  Big grin

...considering that none of those aircraft will be built for about another half-decade, I can't exactly see them being at this year's Air Show, you?  Big grin

What I meant was Boeing and Airbus spreading the word about them. Boeing could bring a 787 model etc.
