Thank you, well, we're starting with one flight to each, except for SFO, that'll be two. So we're doin' it the right way, startin' slowly.

If LAS and SFO are double daily, why not LAX?

I guess Independence Air doesn't truly want to go head-to-head with B6 and UA at OAK.

This is just one step close to Indy's demise. Their load factors are crap, and the management runs it like they don't care.. Good luck..

DH would rather go head to head with UA. Nothing changing from when they started. B6 should feel lucky they are targeting UA. B6 would win out over DH, but I doubt B6 would want 6 months of $79 fares on their IAD transcontinental flights.

Talking about demise and you call yourself airlinelover? Everyone else is saying something sensible here, but not you..........you have to start crap talk about demise. I hope you're not an armchair ceo. Do you work for a company? If so, why don't we start talking about its demise. Oh and that 'good luck' at the end of your post............it couldn't seem more fake. Don't talk about demise and then wish us good luck, it makes you very deceitful.

So, the side question is- will the other airlines competing on these routes do anything to answer the new lower fares? A round trip from, say, GSO to SEA that previously would run $375 or so now costs $240ish on Independence...

It will be SFO-IAD, not SFO-IAH, and it will be on their Airbus A319s... which they currently have a few of, and I'm sure they'll take delivery of more as the spring rolls on assuming the financial situation holds.

This will help make the load factors better across the system as the connection traffic over IAD. I hope PVD can now fill the 4 (was 8!) IAD flights and possibly get another flight or two.

"Load factors are crap"
Good call. Airlines traditionally lose between 5-10% of CASM during Jan. I've seen the loads for Feb.....STRONG. With the addition of the west coast, all the people on the fence are going to climb aboard. Sorry dude, we're a little better off.
"they don't want to compete against B6"
Of course, WHO DOES?!?!?! We're a year old. They're 6. Although we've been around a LOT longer, people still don't know about our new product. These additions will allow for more people.
Instead of saying piss off...how about good luck?
Cheers,
