Anyone know anything about United's flight 870 at SFO today on the 8th of February. It pushed back and departed off of 01R at about noon and then returned to land a short while later. No emergency or anything of that kind was noted. It taxied to Gate 82 and then pushed back to depart at about 1:15 pm. N174UA a 747-400. 870 hasn't been having too much luck the last day or so. Yesterday 870 was N777UA the newly painted 777. After it pushed back from the gate it needed to return to an engine problem. It was subsequently brought over to the Superbay for work.

SFO, HNL-was that a swapped aircraft? According to my schedule, UA870 SYD-SFO-ORD is a scheduled aircraft change, namely a 747-400 on SYD-SFO and a 777-200 on SFO-ORD.

N174UA a 747-400
The first 744 I flew on! On my birthday last year, IAD-FRA. Seat 37A. Amazing takeoff, one of my best flights ever on UA.
Nice to hear about her whereabouts these days, and that she's enjoying summer in Sydney. I'd post my own pictures of my experience on 174UA, but that Photobucket website quality is absolutely terrible, very grainy looking, I'd be ashamed to post them.
