WOW, very nice. I really like Martinair's new livery. I already thaught it would look even better on their MD11 aircraft. Can't imagine the new livery on their 747 aircraft, wow. Just amazing. Does anyone know when this MD11 will return to AMS so we can photograph this new livery in AMS?

Martinair indeed is still doing the flower flights. Flowers are a big source on income for Martinair, especially this time of the year. Johan van de Put Fresh Cargo Handling is one of their biggest (if not, their biggest) customer(s) and they are the biggest flower handling agent in the Netherlands. They lease entire aircraft to transport their flowers, especially in the peak season, which is now (holiday season needs a lot of flowers and after that they have a lot of flower transportation for Russia and now they transport a lot of flowers for Valentine's Day). Martinair Cargo even leases our aircraft at the moment (Atlas Air/Polar Air Cargo) to transport flowers, lettuce and vegetables. Last week we had two 747 flights leased by Martinair and only carried flowers and vegetables, we're talking about 747s fully loaded with flowers!!! It's always a nice sight to see all those trucks at our warehouse being loaded with flowers/vegetables the whole day long!!!
So yes, flower flights are very important for Martinair Cargo, I would even bet it's their biggest source of income, the transporation of flowers, fruits and vegetables, but mostly flowers and vegetables. Below you can see one of my latest photos of one of our 747 freighters continuing its flight, after having flown flowers and vegetables for Martinair/Johan van de Put Fresh Cargo Handling. I had to go to Schiphol East today and sitting in the bus going round the north side of the airport the aircraft sitting at the gates are a long way off. They're not easily recognisable, especially on a grey day like today, but the Martinair B767 new c/s really stood out!
