Hi, me and a friend of mine are planning on going to LAX in May. I would normally take WN but I have never flown UA and so I wanted to try it out. What is the service between MSY-LAX-MSY? Is there any IFE besides channel 9? What about meals? Thanks for any replies.

Service is mainline on both flights, both LAX-MSY are A319s, both MSY-LAXs are A320s. Meals are available only in the F cabin, buy-on-board should be offered on both flights in Y. IFE I believe is standard audio, but you might get a movie, since it's a minimum of 3.5 hours scheduled block time.

Ok I fly this route all the time, as I live in MSY but I am from LAX (actually, I fly MSY-LAX-OXR). During the winter season, the route is A319s RT, during the summer season it is A320s RT and 752s on Sundays. There is IFE other than channel 9 (who cares though Love Ch. 9) This includes a movie and short programming. They also have a bunch of channels of audio. As for food, it is BOB city and beware, the last time I ate it, I got sick
BTW, none of the LAX-MSY service is TED, that is only the DEN-MSY service.
