Does Azerbaijan Airlines still operate LGW-IST-BAK? I ask because I submitted the enquiry form on their website a couple of days ago and just got this message:

"Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you very much for your message.

We would like to inform you that Azerbaijan Airlines have not operated
direct flight from London to Istanbul.

Hope this helps
Azerbaijan Airlines
Passenger Support Team."

I flew with them on december 24th 1999, ist-london gatewick and london-ist on 4th of january 2000. I flew with 727, after 1 month they replace 727 with a 757

I dont know if they are still flying. But as far as I know they are flying

I thought that they had stopped the IST sector when they got their 757, however my OAG shows a stop on the LGW-BAK leg.

Yeah, LGW-BAK is now operated nonstop. It's a shame in one way, as I wanted to fly Azer. to IST. Ah well.

Billy:

I saw 757 of Azerbaijan in istanbul for the flight to London. But it was while ago. I dont think there is any relation between the route and 757. May be something different...

I'll go by price, so probably MA via BUD - about £156 - and not TK - which is about £190+
