I cannot find anythin in any Venezuelan newspaper, amadeus or aeropostal.
That would make it 3 flights to the NYC area, maybe CO should upgrade to a 757. I dont think they could do it with their 727, they may have to lease a 737 or maybe a 757 if the loads are that good.

Just called Aeropostal 1-888 number here in the US, and they guy I talked to could not confirm that news, he said they were starting service to Costa Rica and Nicaragua but not New York. He told me to call back Monday when the offices were open.
You might want to call their offices in Caracas, they probably know better

I am not sure I was wondering the same. Let me paraphrase the conversation that went on between me and the VH agent:
"I heard on the radio while I was in Venezuela that VH was starting service to NYC"
Agent " No I dont see anything is the system, and havent heard anything. I know we are starting service to Costa Rica and Guatemala, but not NYC"

I wouldn't see VH flying to GUA, I don't think Guatemala has a lot of market to offer South American carriers. Costa Rica may be, but Guatemala is a little risky, that is why SAM and Ladeco stopped flying here.
nice and spacious airports in need of new airlines and flights... GUA or FRS anyone?... anyone at all?

I know that Aeropostal Alas de Venezuela will close the gap between Venezuela and Honduras by flying to some Centralamerican Cities (San Jose first), but New York is completely new to me. Never heard about that.
I sound interesting, but I doubt that there is a market. I remember a poll on the Aeropostal website some time ago where you could vote for potential new destinations. The choice was New York and -I think Ft. Lauderdale.
Aeropostal has no aircraft to compete against AA and CO.

motivation and morale. High quality service; both

such as NYC, MIA, MEX, PTY, BOG, LIM, UIO,
GIG, SCL & EZE. Fleet ratio in accordance to
market demands (DC-9/MD-80 + may be two
A-300's and two A-320's) for efficiency.
