Hi I am a pinnacle employee working at GNV "Gainesville, FL". Currently we have two flights a day to MEM on CRJ's, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon. I was wondering if there was any possibility that there will be any increase in flights and maybe one to MSP or DTW? Also currently the airport is served by Delta connection, NW airlink, US airways, and CO connection. Would there be any possibility of American eagle moving in with flights to MIA or DFW? Thanks

American Eagle wanted too much money in financial guarantees that the airport authority was unwilling to pay. Though Continental Connection came in with MIA service this past September.

thanx for the info MAH4546. i ground handle continetal connection, and i asked becuase the flights to MIA from GNV have been overbooked lately very frequetly. and i would think that american eagle would profit from that. Also most of the passengers ,i would say over 50%, have continuing international connections out of MIA on AA. We are getting jetbridges soon and that might gain interest from AA eagle.

Nice to see G-ville coming up a bit...I'll bet ya'll have never seen a mainline jet in there, save for a sports charter Whenever we fly our Warrior in there, we're always number 1 for landing...nice little x/c actually.

Thanks for the info segment king. That brasilia would be nice on days like friday where we get high levels of pax. GNV is small but construction has begun on the new jetbridges and terminal construction should begin soon, enlarging the airport. so who knows whats in the future.
and DeltaGuy there hasnt been any mainline since ive been working. we did have a hooters 757 and american 737 as charters as well as Airforce one when the president visited this past year so some excitement. i would love to handle a mainliner though one day, it would surely be different then a B1900 or a CRJ-200 LOL.

A few months back there was a push to get CO to start ERJ service to EWR... guess that hasn't had much success

I went to both undergrad and graduate school in Gainesville and only once flew from GNV. Every other time I used either JAX, TPA or MCO. I even considered DAB since it is fairly close. JAX is an hour up US 301 and over on I-10/295 and MCO and TPA not that much further that the market really doesn't warrent much more than token service to some hubs.
