Hi,

Where are the first 777 LR routes going to be with Eva Air and PIA?

Thanks,
Drew

Not sure Drew, but for the one that rolled out yesterday, it won't be until 2006. It will be at BFI and other places, for the rest of the year in flight test.

First route will probably be KHI-JFK or KHI-LAX by PK.

I would imagine EVA will start Taipei-NYC nonstop. They can do it with current aircraft but it is weight restricted.

First PK 777-200LR will be Karachi-Islamabad-London (as always). KHI-LAX will come a loooong time after (if at all). They'll probably lease it to Jet Airways for their bus route.

It has not been confirmed yet, but is likely. BTW, the 772LR was meant to go TPE-PTY non-stop for Evergreen's cargo activities mostly.

What the hell for? They have aircraft more than able to run that already that either hold more seats (743) or are lighter (772ER).

As a secondary mission... they were originally ordered for TPE-EWR/CDG nonstop avoiding PRC airspace. But then, the 773ERs proved capable of opping that route with all the requirements plus more seats that BR intended.

familiarization, what else

Is there any background to this comment? Is this being seriously considered by PK or 9W?
