Air France is addding a fifth daily flight to Tunis for the summer season. This flight will depart Tunis at 02h30 in the morning. This is may be a response to Lufthansa flights which will also depart Tunis at around 02h30 AM. But in LH case, they are not adding new flights, just retiming the existing ones. I talked with a lot of LH frequent travellers : they are not happy about the schedules switch. Good move from AF though.

Yes this is a goog move from AF as it is adding more choice. LH is not! It is forcing traveller to travel at impossible hours. As I know Tunisians, they will rush to Tunisair flights which will be more convenient. As for the connections offered by LH, they are also offred by AF at more convenient timings also. Shame not to see BA join the battle there as there is big market for passengers connecting to Montreal. A lot of them used to use BA as they offered cheaper flights versus AF or LH. But BAs timings are also BA now as flights depart LGW at 07h30 and arrive LGW at 14h00. LGW is not anymore as it used to BA. With such a service BA will get only point to point passengers, not even passengers transferring to other UK airports.

The eraliest AF's long-haul flights are AF022 CDG-JFK at 08:25, AF566 CDG-BEY at 08:35
Several flights to Africa leave also around 10:XX (CKY, NIM, NKC, OUA), as well as flights to BOG, CCS, DEL, NRT, MIA, BOM ...
Add to this the connections to ALL AF'S European network.
