Just a quick heads-up: got my April 2005 issue of "Airways" in the mail today. There is a 3-page article (with photos) on the retirement of the last WN 737-200 (N95SW) in it.

Got that issue too. I found it interesting that the first routing included Denver Stapleton Int'l. I remember SWA's 732s coming and going back then. . .and I'm not that old. . .but the article makes it feel like it was almost a quarter century ago. Wait a minute. . .I guess it was. Shucks. . . Sad

Reading about the 732 making it's final approach, then powering up and pressing its pax back into their seats for a go-around was brought back memories for me in the 732. . .those workhorses are powerful little guys. And to top it all off with a full reverse clamshell landing is perfect. . .vibrating fuselage and plenty of noise. . .just a perfect way to say farewell.

Brian Lusk both wrote the article and took the pictures. Looks like he was on the last flight. Is he one of your employee's?

There is a picture of a flight attendant kissing the old bird goodbye. Pretty nice article overall. I will miss seeing those thunderballs at luv.

I've flown on 9V-SPK.

Yeah, he used to work in the Executive Office, but got a promotion to PR; very nice guy.
