I'm a new member, so please be gentle with me!!!??
As I'm writing this, my Mum & Dad in Law are flying from Los Angeles to Fiji. They flew from LHR to LAX on Air New Zealand (747-400?) yesterday and are then going straight on to Fiji for a few days. After that it's on to Aukland....
Do Air New Zealand fly to Fiji? (is it NAN?) from LAX. if not, is it a codeshare partner and who will it be? Any ideas of the types of aircraft used on these sectors? Any info would be much appreciated.
Nadi 'NAN' (pronounced Nandee) is the only International Airport in Fiji able to take Aircraft larger than the 737. So yes, their plane will be arriving at Nadi.
Nausori 'SUV' (SUVA) is Fiji's only other international airport with four international destinations. Its largest aircraft capacity, 738/7 which fly from SUV to AKL and SYD only.

I remember when I was supposed to go to NAN. I was on a fam trip sponsored by QF. We couldn't go to Fiji, because that was the day the Coup happened and they secuestered the Fijian Prime Minister. QF didn't let us travel there. What a loss! Still haven't been there yet.
