I just saw on the yvr website, www.yvr.ca that the flight from AMS, KL 681 landed exactly on time. I just got a phone call from my friend that KL is parked in the spot right now. Where did you get your information from?

Oh man, not again!!
This happened on two other separate occasions years before and I missed it.
Now it is the third..
Thanks for sharing the picts A332, even though they are not a.net quality do keep them in your album as they are just a glimpse of what YYC won't ever get anytime soon.
I am just glad that the China 744 was NOT the one in the Dreamliner Colours which flew into YVR the day before, otherwise I would of been in the trauma room at the Rockyview Hospital.
Whew! Now bring on MORE fog into YVR for SUnday
Expanding my global domination one spotter at a time..

I have a question about the diversions of the flights from Asia. Why YYC? Wouldnt SEA be closer and hence cheaper? I remember several Chistmasas ago, I had a freind coming into YVR, her flight was diverted to SEA due to fog in YVR, and they bussed her up from there. Is it just that these airlines dont have any "agreements" (if there is such a thing) with SEA?
This is your captain speaking. I’ve turned off the no-smokin’ sign. Hell, if the plane is smokin' why can't you?

I don't know about SEA but I hear from many people that the YVR diversion airport is Abbotsford. Now I assume that there was fog there too, but YYC seems pretty far unless there was critical conditions everywhere in BC. The www.yvr.ca website indicates that some planes did arrive on time, so I wonder if it was the pilot's decision to divert to those airports. And if they had that fuel (Because CI went all the way to YYC) I wonder if they held in the air.

YXX didn't suffer from the fog that YVR, YYJ, YBL, YQQ all got yesterday. I think YYC is better equipped than YXX to handle larger diversions these days.
