Eurofly, the former charter arm of Alitalia, is starting new non-stop scheduled flights from New York-JFK to 3 Italian cities: Naples (NAP), Palermo (PMO) and Bologna (BLQ).
Flights will be operated on a daily basis: 3 times weekly to Naples (Mon-Wed-Fri), 3 times weekly to Bologna (Tue-Thu-Sun) and 1 time weekly to Palermo (Sat).
All flights will be operated by A330 during the trial period of 13JUN-18SEP 2005.
Flights will be resumed later on from Spring 2006.
And from JAN 2006, Eurofly will also be operating a non-stop service from New York to Milan using an A319 with a business class only configuration fo 48 seats.
Plans also include a daily non-stop service between New York and Rome with A330 and the date is to be announced.

Very bold and interesting move to de-centralize intercontinental trafic .The idea to use one plane for three different departure-cities seems a good move.I do wish Eurofly good luck - who owns Eurofly these days?
They could try also a Venice-Marseille-New York or a Milan-Nantes - New York ..
French provincial cities are not so well served with regards of US airlinks..
