Just in case anyone is interested: Continental Express/ ExpressJet is going to start a third Boise-Houston Intercontinental flight in early June, I believe, that will depart Boise at 1:30am MDT and arrive IAH at 6:05am CDT. This will be in addition to their 7:40am and 1:10pm flights down to IAH.
I really wonder about the idea of this flight, but was told that it was to better connect with intl flights at IAH, and I assume a lot more domestic connections as well. I do not know if it is just for the Summer or what.
Also, effective tomorrow (March 1), Mesa/America West Express will adjust their BOI sched to: BOI-PHX lv 7:00am and 4:00pm, BOI-LAS (new) lv 9:00pm.
Arr in BOI at: 2:54am (LAS), 1:30ish pm and 7:30ish from PHX. All with CR9s.
In April, the mainline jets will return for 2 PHX flights and CR9 for LAS and new additional PHX flight at 10 am or so. This plane is the one that will come in from LAS at 2:54am.
So if you like late service at BOI, these two are for you.

I think this is quite interesting.....
COexp is clearly doing well in BOI. The middle of the night flight time is interesting! CO does have a large bank in the morning with many flights going to Mexico, Central America, and east coast from IAH. Continental does have middle of the night flights to Houston from LAX, SFO, SEA, and LAS. In fact I think they all leave well after 1:00 am. I haven't checked lately, but the middle of the night LAS-IAH flight used to leave at like 2:30 a.m.
Not along ago I was at LAX and saw a long line at CO's checkin desk at 11:30 p.m. Clearly many, of not most pax were going to Latin America.
But that is interesting CO thinks they will fill enough seats from BOI at such an odd time. These other flights are from major markets where it would be easier. I know CO does well to BFL, another long haul RJ flight from IAH. If CO added an additional BFL-IAH flight, I could see them adding an ultra late night flight there also for sure.

That would be interesting to see up there, as the security gates would have to remain open that late when currently around 10pm they are shut down.
I was staying at a hotel this past summer in Boise while traveling for business and another regular at the hotel was the station manager for CO. He indicated to me at that time, that easily within two years they would be getting mainline service up there based on the loads they last summer with the new service.
