Are UA, CO, US and DL flights from AMS always full ? What's the average percentage of filled seats over the year ?
I have flown them all over the years and they were always filled up till the last available seat, so I am wondering if that's a seasonal thing or through out the year.

Well i don't think so, atleast not on all flights:

not:

US- They would have send an A330 otherwise instead of the rather small 767-200

UA- they downgraded the 777 to an 767 , but then again i heard they might change it in the summer to even a 747....

full:

NWA: why would they have 3 MSP-AMS-BOM flights aday and 11 other flights  Wink/being sarcastic

DL: they fly about 4 times aday to AMS, ATL first was a 777 but now 2 times 767 if im not mistaken

CO: they are most probably full because they went from 757, to 767-200 to 767-400 and now ever 777-200ER!

Actually, the second flight to ATL is being operated by KLM now  Big grin . DL had plans for a second flight to AMS, seeing that the 777 in the summer was always full, but when KLM announced their return to ATL, DL put those plans to rest.
JFK has been a daily 763 for years, and the loads remain constant.
The CVG flight was originally planned as a summer only service, but loads were so good that DL made the flight year-round, although in certain months with only 4 weekly flights. And once a DL-KLM codeshare takes effect, DL's flights will probably have 95%+ average loads.

Are there actually plans for DL and KL to codeshare?

Actually, don't mean to be argumentative, but not all airlines in an alliance automatically codeshare with each other...NW and CO both don't codeshare with AF; SQ and UA don't codeshare; TG and SQ don't either, etc...

why would they have 3 MSP-AMS-BOM

Actually they are 2 daily flights---the second flight was only during the "open skies policy" by Indian govt. which ended on the 1st of march

True, but so far DL has started codesharing with every single Skyteam member, and will likely soon codeshare with KL soon. Plus, since AF is owned, it would make sense to develop "AF's second hub" as an alternative to CDG.

Actually, CO and AF just announced they will begin codesharing.

DL will likely code on KLM. DL has established a long history of giving foreign partners the bulk of the international routes.

I don't have actual load information - but it's always been said that PHL-AMS is the weakest of all US Airways' European routes.

Just to give some actual numbers for today's flights.

Flight DL38 ATL-AMS: Checked in full with three revenue standby passengers still awaiting seats. They will most likely be oversales and booked on the AF flight later this evening.

Flight DL80 JFK-AMS: Now boarding with only two open seats on the aircraft.

And for tomorrow:

Flight DL42/4March CVG-AMS: Availability shows 180 seats sold out of a ship capacity of 199. Authorized availability shows 17 seats in Business and 12 seats in economy for sale. This is a 90% load factor for tomorrows flight out of CVG.

Tomorrow's flights out of JFK and ATL are also booked to @ 180 paxs as well. It looks like this is a very popular destination.
