United's DC-10's Still Flying Passengers

I was wondering, I know United has DC-10's operateing cargo routes, but does United to operate DC-10's for passengers?

The short answer...UA has as many DC10s flying cargo routes as they do PAX flights. ZERO.

They hae not operated the type for several years. You have likely seen old UA examples at various airports still wearing the base blue and grey, but they are no longer with UA, they are just awaiting a new paint job with FedEx titles.

United's last passenger DC-10 left in 2000, the last UA DC-10 cargo flight took place on Valentine's Day of 2001.

Almost all former United DC-10-10 made it to FedEx and were / are going to be converted to MD-10 freighters. Of the Series -30 aircraft, some went to FedEx, some to World and a single one is currently being prepared for the Royal Netherlands Air Force.

Shame no UA DC10s still flying passengers. There was a lot of life left in them DC10s, look at Northwest!

No, as a DC-10 freighter. They operate 2 KDC-10s currently, and this "new" one is solely for expanding their freight hauling capabilities.

United Cargo ended after Christmas 2000. Pax flights ended 2/14/01 HNL-ORD,second last was LAS-ORD.
