"FRANKFURT (Reuters) - The Airbus A380 superjumbo will have its maiden flight at the start of April, the co-chief of EADS, which owns 80 percent of Airbus, said on Wednesday.
"I have no doubt that the first flight will be successful," Rainer Hertrich told Reuters in an interview.
Airbus was aiming for the A380 to have its first flight towards the end of March, but has said the date could slip into April.
Hertrich denied media reports that there were difficulties with the rear end of the plane or that the landing gear was causing concerns because of the weight of the A380, which is the world's biggest passenger plane. "

I'm glad things are moving along for the first A380 flight. When building a new plane of this magnitude it's natural Airbus would take it's time and not fly until they are 100% sure they are ready. I'm confident it will be fine.
