I was wondering if any international carrier will ever start a service to St Louis Lambert Airport. I can remember the day when British Cal flew 707 and DC-10's. I can even remember seeing a Mexicana Airline flight in here. LaTur Airlines of Mexico. That brought me home from Cancun. That airline is no longer around I belive. And yes I can even remember a British Airways and Lufthansa parked here overnight for some reason. We do get Jaz in here and a few charters but no big carriers. I miss the days when we had a nice mixture in at Lambert. Will those days ever return....????

St Louis's ability to support service to Europe is questionable at best, especially year round. The old STL-LGW flight did fine in summer months, but winter months, even at 4x daily, did extremely poorly from what I remember. I also heard that cargo loads were a problem for that flight, so my guess is that it wasn't the strongest of flights for American.
Mexico, in my mind, is another story. It's not inconceivable to think that Mexicana may make a re-entrance at some point, but I'm not counting on it.
Couple the terrible facilities in the D concourse with the questionable support, it probably means that LH or BA won't come here for some time to come. Lufthansas has visited the city before, but I don't know if thats a good or a bad thing.
