Yesterday I saw that Air France has three daily flights (+ one codesharing flight on JL) from CDG to NRT on certain dates during the summer:
CDG-NRT flights:
AF272: CDG 11:30-NRT 06:25, A 340 or A 330
AF276: CDG 13:15-NRT 07:25, B 772
AF278: CDG 23:25-NRT 18:00, B 77W
AF280: CDG 19:05-NRT 13:55, B 744 (operated by JL)
NRT-CDG flights:
AF279: NRT 10:30-CDG 16:05, A 340 or A 330
AF275: NRT 12:05-CDG 17:30, B 772
AF277: NRT 21:55-CDG 04:15, B 77W
AF271: NRT 11:10-CDG 16:35, B 744 (operated by JL)
Why did AF add a third flight on some days? Do they also offer more intra-European flights under JL codesharing flight number or have both cities such a high rate of O & D passengers?
Anyway, this is very impressive, I was very surprised that I had the choice between so many flights!

So much for competition! If JL and AF have all the direct flights...
