Ia Orana all !!!
I am planning a trip to Indonesia on nonrev tickets and a an Air France employee Skyteam tickets are the cheapest under the ZED system.
So I will most certainly do a PPT-LAX-SEL-JKT on both AF and KE and then buy a round trip ticlet on GA between JKT and DPS.
My question is does any body knows if Korean has PTV's on its B747-400 and B777-200 ??? I remember being on the crew bus in LAX and driving past a KE 744 and I noticed they had PTV's in economy... Any confirmation ? how many aircrafts ??? I bet it has to do with the refurbishment of the aircrafts with the new seats in P and J.
Otherwise my other solution is to fly to LAX on AF then take China Airlines to TPE and then to DPS. Same question as for KE, Does CI have PTV's on its B744 ???

go on CI! take my warning, I never could really get on KE past ICN to places such as BKK or DPS. CGK can hurt on return flights
CI is easy to non-rev on and availability is very good and noshow list is very good. CI would be easy to get on even to BKK via TPE from LAX. DPS should be fine, but be careful, CI does not operate everyday to CGK, I think.
CI has no PTV except for an A340/A333, But KE is not a good airline to non-rev, you really take chances. Dont even think of trying OZ either.
Best Airlines to non-rev on to Asia from LAX
TG, CI, and MH

I have a choice of BR, KE and CI because I am travelling with my partner and these 3 airlines are the only ones to offer the tickets for me and him.
We flew on KE together before between NRT and BKK via SEL and the flights were fine, we had difficulties leaving NRT for SEL on the first flight as it was full but managed to get on the next one. The checkin agent in NRT even checked us through to BKK on the last flight. When we arrived in ICN I went to the transit desk and asked if it was possible to take the earlier flight to BKK and the agent called the baggage area and had our bags go on the earlier flight and gave us new boarding cards for the earlier flight. Funny thing is that the 773 we came on from NRT was the same one we flew to BKK.
On the way back we didn't want to go thru ICN again and went to see TG if they could take our BKK-ICN-NRT ticket for a direct flight to NRT and they refused but ANA agreed to fly us to NRT nonstop with our KE tickets !
I wish I could have flown on SQ or CX because they have a fantastic entertainment program but SQ is ID75, very expensive and CX doesn't give my partner ID tickets

KE between ICN and CGK shouldn't be too much of a hassle. KE is flying a daily A333, in code-share with Garuda, and the flight is not normally heavily booked. I wouldn't go straight to DPS on them because these flights are regularly oversold.
If you come through CGK, you can let me know, and I can get you the cheapest possible CGK-DPS tickets, that are only sold within the country. If you want to go on Garuda for this sector, then, pending seat availability, I could possibly even help you to get a bit of a better seat.
As for CI, they have daily flights TPE-CGK, and you might get lucky and get the new A330 with IFE. Flights are also code-shared with Garuda. DPS flights on CI, once again tend to be unstable. If anything else goes wrong CI also flies to CGK from KHH and from TPE to MES.

Thank you HB-IWC !!!
I am now thinking of flying on one of our brand new 773ER to SIN then get the cheapest ticket from SIN to DPS. SQ is priced at 320 USD in Y and I can't get a quote from GA as they only have fares for domestic flights on their website. Can you help me there ???

I can find that out for you. However, you're sure to get the cheapest deal from a ticket consolidator or travel agent in Singapore. I can only get you official fares on Garuda from here in Jakarta, but over in Singapore, travel agents will be able to give you confidential rates.
It's a sure thing that Garuda is going to be cheaper than SQ for SIN-DPS. However, you could fly to CGK for much less. Cheapest roundtrip fares on GA are in the region on USD75, and SQ is only slightly more expensive. There's also ValuAir on the route, and by the time you get here even JetStar Asia, which will take you cheaper than GA and SQ. You could also try to nonrev SIN-CGK if you could get a deal on some of the many airlines on the route.

Thanks again HB-IWC !
The thing is that I will fly to SIN from CDG and try to connect to DPS ASAP, latest will be the next day.
I could nonrev on SQ but the ID75 is really expensive, last time I did a OW SIN-DPS on SQ and I had to pay nearly 200USD !!! And AF doesn't have interline agreements with GA, so no ID tickets...
I could try to fly to JKT and then connect again to DPS that's true...
Which airlines are doing the SIN-JKT run ? And then I could buy tickets on GA for the JKT-DPS...

SIN-CGK has Garuda, Emirates, Lion Air, ValuAir, JetStar Asia (soon), Thai Airways, Emirates, Lufthansa, Air India, Cathay Pacific, Philipines, KLM, and maybe even others. KLM and Lufthansa will soon leave the route.
In the near future, a great non-rev flight into CGK will be Lufthansa's BKK-CGK, so if you could get AF's CDG-BKK, you are sure to get to CGK, as there's no way that LH will fill up a 744 on that route.
I will check out GA fares for SIN-DPS for you. Garuda has one daily flight with B734 Monday through Thursday and A333 Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Weekend flights tend to fill up, but, as with all flights to DPS, loads are very seasonal. However, as I said, I will only be able to check Garuda's official fares on the route. Those fares won't be too bad, but you might get better local fares in Singapore. I'm expecting a SIN-DPS rountrip to go for about USD175-200.

Thanks again for all these information...
What I could do is get an ID ticket on KLM and see if EK/AI/PR/CX would accept it for the SIN-JKT and then get a cheap fare on GA.
Otherwise I would be very grateful if you could get me the info on GA fare SIN-DPS. I did check SQ which is OK... 521 SGD return...
Once again thanks for your help !
