In a german forum (www.airliners.de )there is a thread concerning Air Madrid planning a south-america hub in PMI ,using potentially Air Berlin as feeder into PMI. It is of course unconfirmed and a rumour - but sounds like a good project.
Any clues if this ist just dreaming or some truth behind it ?

No idea whether true or not, but sounds like a cool idea. Except that maybe AB would need to widen its catchment area even further, as right now it is heavily concentrated (although not exclusively) on Germany. For traffic to LatinAmerica, it would be attractive to have some feed from Italy. Would AB open up routes between PMI and Italy? Or partner with an Italian airline? Or a Spanish carrier? Why not UX (maybe because there are rumours that UX will join Skyteam)?
I usually don't take part in speculations of this kind, but having experienced the AB hub at PMI for the first time myself two days ago, I must say that I was deeply impressed and it arouse my interest in this topic.

By the way, Beaucaire, never realised you spoke German! I always perceived you as being the one on this forum who brings his views from the Rhone delta on how crooked and monopolised the French transportation market is. So you have a second face Aber dann, um so besser!

Ach so, Du bist aus Frrranggen!! That explains it all. Myself I am half Bavarian (München), half French, living in Paris, shuttling between the two. In any case, I always enjoy your posts very much (and I just put you on my RR list).
As for the PMI thread, I followed it now on the other thread - which by the way I have to thank you for making me discover. I always wondered whether such a forum also exists for France. The only one I know of is mainly on spotting/taking pictures, and it's quite "colloquial" in language and style. Not very founded I find. Do you happen to know one?
