Interesting topic. I don't know much about the maritime scene, but I do remember that (pre-C3) Canjet used to fly YHZ-YSJ, unless I'm horribly mistaken. I remember thinking that was uqite an interesting little route. It would certainly save a long drive/ferry, but I guess it hasn't been worth re-starting.
As for YYZ-YQY, didn't Jetsgo fly this route just last summer?

Canjet does a YYT-YQM-YYZ flight as well as a return on the same route.
AC used to have a YYT-YOW flight a couple of years back. The flight number was 613 and it was a DC-9, however, it stopped in YHZ first and then YOW.
I think AC used to fly the YYZ-YDF route many years ago using DC-9's, but I'm not certain about it.
Royal Airlines used to do this route before continuing on to YYT during the summer about 10 years ago using B727's. I believe SG did the same.

Back in the 80s, AC used to fly YOW-YYG. CanJet 1 very breifly flew YOW-YSJ-YHZ before the merger with C3. More recently, WS for a few months flew YOW-YQX and YOW-YYT, 2 and 3x weekly respectively, but only 1-way. The return was via YHM (WS used to have many 1-way nonstop routes to or from YOW...no wonder they failed being oddly only 1-way). WS used to also operate weekend service YOW-YQM. Jazz until 2003 flew YOW-YFC for years. As you can see YOW has lost everything to the Maritimes except YOW-YHZ, once again becoming the spoke to YYZ & YUL and to a lesser extent YHZ, to the east.

It wasn't too many years ago that I flew YUL-YJT non-stop aboard an AC 727. It was a seasonal upgauge from the normal DC-9, during the fishing season. It was funny because I knew we'd deplane through the airstair in the tail. When everyone got up to deplane, I got up and turned to face the rear. Everyone thought I was nuts until the FA announced that we'd disembark from the rear!
And you know what, the flight was full. Now I think you can't even catch a Dash-8 to Stephenville...

Ah yes I stand corrected about YSJ-YFC. I thought that all intra-NB flying had been eliminated with the transfer of all NB-YHZ flights to Air Alliance.

When Canada 3000 was around they had a lot of interesting flights out of YQM. They served Toronto year round and in the winter they flew to Florida nonstop (PIE and MCO) as well as a few destinations in the Carribean like Cuba and the Dominican Republic. During the summer they even had YQM-CDG flight!! Now that Canada 3000 no longer exists Corsair of France last year did a YQM-ORY flight. At YSJ Air Atlantic used to fly direct to BOS and so did Northwest Airlink. Being from the Maritimes, I love it when I see a new carrier has selected to fly to the region. I was very pleased this year to see that Northwest is starting a seasonal DTW-YYG flight!

Lets see, I remember flying many times into YSJ on AC on DC9s and Vickers Vicounts. I did this from BOS. YUL. and YYZ. I do remember at times also stopping in YFC, YMQ (Moncton?) as well as Yarmouth. (Sorry dont know the code.
Any one still in YSJ? Whis is the airport like now? I have not been there in about 10 years!

Air Atlantic used to serve Mirimichi and Charlo. Didn't NW airlink serve YSJ, YFC, YQM and YYG with SWMs to BOS back in the early 90s? Nice to see NW coming back to YYG this summer.
Jazz for a couple of summers flew YYG-YGR-YGP-YQB in the late 90s.

I live in Saint John and YSJ Airport has been very nicely renovated. It is still a very small airport but with a spotless and modern terminal!! Not much exciting for services though....3 AC CRJ's each day to Toronto, 3 AC Dash 8's to Montreal and 4 BEH's to Halifax. Thats it!! The Past 2 summers Jetsgo has flown here but obviously that won't be happening again!!!
