Howdy,

As far as i can tell, ATA still have a few flying.. They are listed as follows in this years airline database..

N616AT
N612AT
N613AT
N614AT
N179AT
N188AT
N194AT

And those in storage at ROW are:

N160AT
N186AT
N189AT
N191AT
N195AT
N197AT
N198AT

Hope this helps, as for the flight, i have no clue.

Cheers,

TFSPhoto.

Many are still used for AMC charters. ATL is one of the AMC arrival airports in the US.

Yup, come up to BWI you're almost guaranteed to see one each day. Occasionally there'll be a 757, but it's almost always L1011's.

And, damn is it cool seeing one of those babies take off.

Doubtful you'll ever see a TriStar in new colors.

As to the flight you saw leaving ATL, ATA has been doing a rotator flight that goes DFW-ATL-EDDF-ATL-DFW, so you probably saw it leaving for Frankfurt or for Dallas (or to IND for maintenance!).

Best,

Bill

Bill,
Actually those are R&R flights that originate at KWI and operate KWI/FRA/ATL/DFW and return. We'll be picking them back up next month. FRA is a traffic stop but most originate and terminate at KWI.
