Just a heads up.... commuter airline Florida Coastal / PA / will be adding Melbourne and Daytona Beach service out of their Ft. Lauderdale Intl Hub starting on our around May 15th.... look for a press release from the airline and airports next week. Service will allow easy connections to Key West, Marsh Harbour, Treasure Cay, and Freeport.

What terminal or area do they use in FLL? Just wondering what kind of trouble would be involved if someone used the service to try and connect to B6 or WN?
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

They do their own ground handling. Right now the only interline agreement is with USAirways, Cayman is next, followed by Chalks and possibly Northwest / United. Don't look for them to paint their tails anytime soon.
They operate out of Terminal 4 Commuter Terminal. connections to Southwest and Jetblue are 10 minutes away in Terminal 1, or you can take the free airport shuttle.
I'd expect fares to range from $69 to $149 each way, plus taxes and LCC-type fare rules (well, I did write them!).. $25 change fee, etc.

I find it fascinating the number of commuters that have tried to make a go of it in DAB. When I was a Riddle student in the early 80's, it was Dolphin Airways and Provincetown-Boston Airways (PBA). Both flew Banderiente's, and although PBA themselves had quite a history behind them, both in south Florida and in New England, neither was able to last long at DAB.

Just my luck...FLL-DAB service starts up AFTER I'm done with Riddle...
