NW flight ops chief gives us a glimpse of what NW is up to. Mentions on weather NW will decide on the A350 of 787. Also sheds some light on the 747 freighter conversion situation.

I typed out the interesting paragraph. The rest of the message is about the stuff we already know about. But the 787/A350 issue is what's interesting.

"Today is Wednesday, March 16,2005, and this is the bi-weekly Flight Ops video update.

New Aircraft
A decision on the A350 or the B787 still should be made at the end of the month hopefully on
the next video update we'll have news to put out on that. In terms of our 747-200
passenger conversion to a freighter configuration over in Israel, there's rumors out there
concerning a 3rd aircraft and that is exactly what it is right now...a rumor. Reality is we
continue to explore the opportunities for growth in the cargo arena, so that is a possibility
and that continues to be studied, but right now still in the rumor stage"

So that's the stuff that matters.
