I've been reading a lot about the weaknesses of NGO and their flights especially to the North American market and the European market. Most of the recent expansion have been to the Chinese markets.
However, I remember the KL operated 2x weekly flights to AMS via Sapporo for a technical stop and the JAL operated flights to LHR or LAX from NGO.
KLM is one possibility but has any airline talked about expanding to Centair?
I know that AC during the high-season this summer will operate to NGO, daily opposed to their 5x weekly service.
Can the NGO airport see any EU or NA expansion soon?

If NGO is reopened, it would rather be AF from CDG than KL from AMS.
AF has a much stronger position in Japan than KL (3 x Daily CDG-NRT-CDG + 1 x Daily CDG-KIX-CDG) and AF is already starting a codeshare with JAL on the Daily NGO-CDG-NGO operated by a JAL's B772.

There you have your answer!
At one point KLM operated four times weekly on that route. There have been previous threads and the Sapporo stop wasn't technical, but more a billeteral thing with the Japanese authorities.

United starts SFO-NGO in less then a week. This Sat., March 26th. CO and AA have also announced NGO service from my understanding. I think the North American markets will explode. Centair apparently had very slow fee's when compared to its sister ports of Narita and Kansai. I for one plan on non-reving United from SFO to see my friends there.

Flyssc, what do you mean by reopened? NGO is the designator now on the new Nagoya airport which opened a few weeks ago.
