I was studying in Italy when that happened, one of my teachers was from the Caselle region and talked about the accident in class.

There was extensive coverage of it on TV, I remember being impressed with the aerial shots showing the size of the Antonov compared to the homes - beastly!

I remember the one that crashed in Russia, seeing the tail section standing taller than the houses!
