Air Deccan is introudcing two more Airbuses from 28th of March. And with the one whose wing tip was whacked by the ground vehicle a few days ago back in service as well (my apologies to MEL- some routes were indeed cancelled as "Namaskar" had pointed out), now finally Air Deccan is building up a good network.
Of the two new A320s, one each will be based in HYD and the other in DEL. Interestingly thid also means that unlike the other major airlines, the aircraft is being overnighted accross the country (of the other three, 2 overnight in BLR and one in MAA).
DEL - BLR / BLR - BOM / BOM - DEL / DEL - CCU / CCU - HYD
With these new aircraft, Air Deccan will have early morning/late evening depatures in the bLR - DEL route in both directions and that is going to to give a fight to JEt/Sahara and IC on the route. Also the additional aircraft and multiple frequencies on sectors like BLR-DEL/DEL - BOM and BOM - BLR will also hopefully mean less last minute flight cancellations (I must say Air Deccan has really been unlucky on that count with a no of ground relayed incidents).
Given below ios the summary of the A320 operations once the new aircraft are in service

By the way interestingly this also makes DEL the biggest station for DN 320s with 7 daily departues (2 each to BOM and BLR and 1 each to HYD-MAA/CCU and DIB-GAU) followed by BOM with 6 (2 each to BLR and DEL and 1 each to MAA and CJB).
