I live near SFO, and often hear aircraft being cleared on the FMS visual approach to 28R/L. If there is anyone familiar with this, could you answer this question: what is the difference between this approach and a regular visual approach to the same runway? Who's flying the plane in the FMS approach...the FMS computer or the pilot? Also, how is a regular visual approach put into the multifunction display for the autopilot or flight directors? Or is it always flown without the autopilot/fd's?
