Umm.. a few things:
1) Since that thing is so big, who knows if the airline would even allow you to take it onboard.
2) Even if they did let you take it onboard, there's so little pitch it would be literally squishing you/most people against the seat in front of you! =p

It looks so thick near the bottom that it would probably reduce the limited pitch that you already have by moving your bum two or three inches closer to the seat in front of you.
I also think that people would stare at you using this.

Just imagine the passengers faces while you're trying to inflate that huge cushion, let alone trying to sit down and fitting in the seat afterwards

The demonstration is kind of innacuarte. Most Y class seats arent even like that anymore or that bad, a lot of carriers have headrests on the medium-long haul planes. That lady looks as if she's ready to collapse.
The sleeper reduces the pitch a bit (especially when you have luggage in the seat infront of you and it would be embarrasing to carry that huge thing on board. At the end of the day, that product has good intentions but is pretty much a bad idea.

I am flying tommarow on a long hual red-eye. Ive flown in Air france's tempo class before and its comfortable enough to get enough sleep in their seats. This would only sell to someone who has never ever flown-ever.

This whole idea is just hilarious.
I want you to see someone try to blow that thing up in-flight! There's not enough room just to blow it up! hahaha

Did anyone watch the instructional video? This was invented by an airline captain Bob Duncan! Apparently, as an alternative to manually blowing air into the little tube, you can inflate it in seconds by taking the convenient attach-on hose and sticking it in the overhead air vent.
This thing is too funny, and if I saw anyone using it, I would probably be unable to contain my laughter. LAME! LAME! ... LAME!
Like norcal said, put your 50 bucks to an ACTUAL first class seat.

Well, you could always use it as an inflatable device in case of ditching. It certainly makes a better float than a seat cushion. Besides, with its size, like a First Class suite, you can invite a friend.........

Yeah, with practically all domestic US airlines having only 29 or 30 inch seat pitches, I like to see passengers remove an extra 6 or 7 inches... It might work if youre really short...
Cheers

Sure, we're concerned for our lives. Just not as concerned as saving 9 bucks on a roundtrip to Ft. Myers.

Quoting FlySSC (Reply 1): Before I try it, Tell me which airline is offering such a large pitch in "Economy" !!!
Depending on how tall you are of course, but I'm quite satisfied with ACs pitch and leg-room in economy. But then, I'm only 175cm, and not 190cm.
But the thing really looks odd, no?

The guy sitting at the back of the person using the 1st Class Sleeper will not be very happy if the airline has main screen entertainment. IMO, he might take a pin and make a hole to deflate this towering cushion.

another thing that i notice is that the picture features two completely different chairs, look where the back connects to the seat cushon. also if you do sleep on a plane usually you dont hunch over like the lady in the pic.
1 if the plane does not have comft seats it prb is not a long flight 2 if it is a long flight and you cant sleep on the plane you should fly fed-ex and sleep in the cargo bay.
i think that this product was good intentioned but completely impractical.
(if i ever saw someone with one of those id ask the f/a to tell them to put it in the overhead bin.)
the vide siad that if it was overinflated it would be like a beachball (maybe this would be more practical)
this is the stupidest product i have ever seen.

If Continental had a hub at DFW with nonstop flights I would always fly them, unfortunantely good things take time.
