Seems that both Thomas Cook and Britannia will offer NCL-SSH next winter. The Britannia flight on a Thursday and Thomas Cook flying on Sundays. Good to see this route doing well. I bet Horus is delighted  Wink

Oh, lets hope not! I dont think Egypt will welcome gangs of lager louts, mooning and smashing up bars.

Is BY 757 and TCX 320? I suspect so.

Both 757-200s
BY and TCX both have 2 757s based at NCL

I doubt that the 320s would make it to Egypt nonstop anyway

That's fantastic new for NCL, let's just hope they follow suit with other destinations.

Are BY using a 767 at all from NCL this year? What heavies can we expect. I know excel are going to base a 767 there. Im sure we'll prob see a Monarch A330 popping in and out as well.

It could indeed be problematic in the high-density charter layout that TCX uses... in a regular layout, it would be able to fly the route (though probably not with too much cargo on board).

If I were in the situation of the Egyptian authorities, and that were true... I'd close down the airport immediately and ban all foreign tourists from the area.

Excel arent basing a 767 at NCL, it is 2 737s they are basing. A 767 will position in from MAN or LGW to operate the POP and SFB flights.
No BY 767s this summer.
Heavies include:
MON A330 to SFB
XLA B763 to SFB and POP
FCA 763 to SFB
OHY A300 to DLM
TS A310 to YYZ

Sharm has style....its about time you went their on holiday Kirkie...come to think about it you'll probably be turned away at the airport. Note: You can't treat camels like sheep.

According to GLAGAZ, GLA will get 2 flights to SSH this winter too (BY and TCX). A third flight is on the cards if GSM start their own flights.

Egyptair fly the A320 and the A321 on their SSH-LHR-SSH route with no restrictions (according to one of their pilots).

LOL, but it seems record numbers of Germans are coming to the Red Sea

Yet another reason to close the whole airport down!  Wink

Good to know - I had expected some restrictions, after all, LHR-SSH is about the same length as, for example, LGB-JFK, and there are frequent remarks around here (yes, I know that's not really the most reliable source) about diversions on that route. On the other hand, NCL-SSH is still almost 170mi longer than LHR-SSH... then again, if the A321 does the LHR route without restrictions...

Oh no you didn't Kirkie...take that back or I'll flood this thread with loads of pics of SSH. Ah, what can I say Kirkie, you're so  dopey

Ah, those Germans will still find their way in. Last year the number of German tourists in Egypt hit a million (still behind the Italians though...like everything else). Anyway with Fraport winning a contract to manage and run CAI, even more Germans will be coming now...
