Hey there! I have a very important question regarding WestJet Airlines. Let me explain that I am writting a school paper for my Fundenmentals of Business class, and the topic of the paper is the success of WestJet in Canada's Aviation industry. I would like to know why and how WestJet has become so popular, big, and successful, even though the airline industry has been hit hard in recent years due to 9/11 and SARS. Does anyone have access to statistical information that might be useful? Can any of you guys help me? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

AC_767,

Came across this today, perhaps it will be of some help: http://c1dsp.westjet.com/guest/about...YMQDgvQqymMqlv2jUltifyX!1146548536.

Good luck on the project, by the way.

You know the gear is up and locked when it takes full throttle to taxi to the terminal.

Take a look at this:

Directly from Westjets' site, it has some excellent background about Westjet's operating principles and business fundamentals.

Good luck!!

You guys are great! Thanks so much for the help! I really appreciate it! Just one question...how credible is this information? I am afraid there will be too much bias towards their success. Is there any unbiased information out there that might be useful?

Thanks

At the time, they were making money. That alone lends their own philosophy some credibility.

However, there have been gluts of glowing profile articles in several trade and major publications over the years, ask your teacher how to find them. I would suggest your local library or university library, as they may have back issues or electronic copies of them.

buhh bye
