As of now it looks like it'll be a PDX-DEN flight on 4/11/05. Of course there's a big celebration planned in DIA and around the system to celebrate this event.
Personally i'll be sad to see the Boeing's go (I have to admit I'm a Boeing fan all the way), but it will be nice to finally have an entire fleet of the same aircraft family. Without question this is a big plus for people who fly F9.
So on 4/11 please make a toast to the last of the733's. The birds served the airline well. Here's to a happy retirement 737's, wherever that may be (a part of DirectAir's future fleet perhaps? )

It is good they are getting down to an all Airbus fleet but you hate to see those 733's go. To bad they can't keep like 3 of them around. As some sort of ceremonial things. Oh well.

Kind of hard to celebrate hard on a Monday, but I certainly will celebrate! Are you planning on visiting DEN on that day? I might just go visit for the heck of it!

F9Animal, I won't be able to make it to DEN (work), but I think we're having some sort of party down here to celebrate (or is that mourn? lol). I wish the outstations would get some more love! The one BIG thing i'll miss about the 733's are those extra four seats. I won't miss servicing the galleys on those planes though, I'm sure you know where i'm coming from!

Quoting Brick (Reply 2): What time is that flight scheduled to arrive Denver? I have a flight out on the same day and wouldn't mind checking it out
I think it will be arriving into DEN @ 6:10pm.
Quoting N1120A (Reply 5): Hey Steve, what exactly do you do for F9 at MSY?
Pretty much everything...ticket counter, gate, operations, office stuff, etc.

Were you there on the "Day from hell" (Computer change over)? My parents were not very happy with F9 that day but were quite happy with the CSAs at MSY.

No I was not, I was actually in SAT that day. I was there the day after though, and it was pretty much the same from what I was told. Things are better now thankfully.

They will certainly be missed! I have yet to non-rev or work one (though I did work one flight as a CSA).
I'm working a flight to MCI tomorrow night and unfortunately for me, it's not a Boeing. I'd at least like to try using that old PA system!

Darn, if it were only a week earlier!! I am going to DEN on Mon/Tues for an interview with F9 and it would've been a real treat to see this. Timing is everything huh? I will try and get a few shots, if I can catch a 737while I'm out there =)

Some of the outstations unfortunatley will not likely join in on the fun. Seems like all the love is given in DEN. BAAAHUMBUG!! LOL!! I may be able to make it to PDX though, and perhaps hop on the flight!! I wonder if we will be allowed to give her a little marker treatment, or write some farewell notes on her?
Say hi to "T" for me! I am not sure if she is still in MSY, but if she is, tell her that the funny guy in her training class says "HI"!

Quoting Lightsaber (Reply 10): Wow, I've been totally asleep at the wheel, I didn't realize F9 was this close to simplifying their fleet.
Whoa, exactly the same here with me! I never thought that a few weeks ago may have been the last time I would see a F9 737 at MKE.
I'm really amazed as well at how efficiently and quickly Frontier has transitioned to an all-Airbus fleet. Kudos for not getting caught up in the recent downturn!

Hello to all my F9 buddies!
AirBrasil- I'd love to be called up for that flight!!! I may never have a chance to work a 737 after these guys leave!!! (unless we decide to order them in the future! lol...)
By the way, thank you for the tail pin of the rabbit (not Jack, the other one)... I wear it on my apron now. I've already received a lot of compliments about that tail. By the way, a few of the girls I've flown with have been raving about how cute and nice you are!!!
Hey F9Animal & MSYTristar- how are things over at your neck of the woods?

Going good! Still surviving the fallout of the Flight Attendant thing! Oh well, there is always the end of the year, hopefully. Need to save a few bucks before aiming for it again.
How is the flying going? Are you still tired? Keep those planes clean for me, and if you get a layover, give me a ring! I will be in the sky before you know it!
Chat with you later, and I will arrange a visit soon.

Is the last 737 going to a new owner or to the desert?
It would be nice to see a memento left behind of the old Frontier colors.

Anyone know if this event is open to the public or strictly just for badged employees only. I was hoping Corp Comm would hook me up for some photo ops but I haven't heard anything from them.
I was lucky enough to get to push the last 200 out of the gate and I managed to pull the first by-pass pin out of the first 318 flight. Looks like I will miss this little F9 event though.
