I can't find any press releases or anything like that, but according to the schedules (at least on Travelocity) it would appear that KE is no longer taking on passengers in ANC in the off-season. I found a three-times weekly seasonal nonstop between ANC-ICN on a KE A330-300 (Sunday, Wednesday, Friday) operating late June through August, but no nonstop flights for the rest of the year. Searched through November.
Anyone know anything about this? It'd be a shame if KE is no longer taking on winter pax in ANC. However, CI still has the ANC-TPE flight year-round, and I would imagine that passenger numbers between Anchorage and Asia dwindle quite a bit in the winter, to the point where it would be difficult for two airlines to compete in the ANC-Asia market in the offseason.

KE085/086, which goes to JFK via ANC, is becoming a non-stop 777 flight starting this summer, so, yes, there will be no KE ANC service (PAX) after August. The 333 service which runs through August will turn around at ANC instead of continuing on to JFK.
The biggest mistake made by most human beings: Listening to only half, understanding just a quarter and telling double.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully KE can continue to have a seasonal ANC-ICN flight in the summer. This has got to be the first scheduled A330 service to Anchorage.

This is kind of a big deal. I believe KE had continuous international passenger service longer then any other airline at ANC. At least the KE freighters will still be around. Maybe with an A380 someday like FedEx?
