I can tell you that out of 900,000 that went to DXB, around 550,000 were local. However, this does include the pax on BA and other airlines operating to DXB. Connections beyond DXB on the LHR route are lower as a percentage than from other EK European airports.

Most of the time, most of the pax on 2 of the Gatwick flights (EK016/EK009) are mainly holiday makers travelling just to DXB with only few travelling onwards normally to holiday destinations like Sri Lanka, Maldives, Mauritius & Seychelles.
Since there is a codeshare agreement with Continental Airlines and EK for services from certain US airports to LGW (operated by CO) and from LGW to DXB (operated by EK - only on EK012) most of the pax on this flight originate from the USA and are normally travelling to India or Pakistan,so most of them are only using DXB as a transit point.
On the other hand you never know with LHR flights.....it's always such a mix of holidaymakers, business people, etc. sometimes almost all of the pax final destination is DXB and sometimes almost all are travelling onwards.
