A Varig DC10-30 (PP-VMU) was at Luton today and was parked in the engine test run bay for about 7 hours, before being moved to a remote stand nr terminal.

Quoting EZYAirbus (Thread starter):

Indeed, what is the largest aircraft to have operated into LTN?

Cheers,
Ian.

Definately not the largest aircraft to operate into LTN. Corsair have operated there 747-300's in an all Economy Class seating 500+ pax and British Airways have operated their 777's into the airport in recent time.

I were at Luton for when that other Varig was there, fair bit of snow across the south of the UK that day!

The aircraft if from VarigLog, which is Varig's cargo division, and the biggest cargo airline in Latin America.

Anyone interested, These fights are transporting horses (polo ones) and there are 2 more flights scheduled as well, 1 this week and 1 the week after.
These are the flights that usually fly into STN.
