I see that NWA is adding a 5th flight this summer from DTW-AMS. It looks to be an DC-10 and it also appears that FCO and LGW will be DC-10's.

What is the delivery schedule for A330's planned and now with the additional 8 ordered and what routes will be on what aircrafts this summer?

Thanks for any info...

Cheers,
NWADTWFA

The deliveries are spread out over 4 years. We have 4 on order for this year from the original order, 3 -300's and 1 -200. They are being ordered to retire DC10's.

A little farther ahead in the future, the A330-300 will be on the MSP-AMS route, as I was looking at flights on expedia.com for February, and it's in the schedules as (I believe, but don't quote me on it) flights 41 and 42.

Currently the Northwest schedules have A333 service starting the MSP-AMS route on October 31st, 2005. This is still quite far out, however, so we'll have to see if this aircraft stays in the schedules as the date closes in.

Does this mean the AMS- BOM flight will also get the A333, since it originates at MSP

NWA have confirmed that BLR will be receiving the A 333 from this winter...no one knows for sure when the A 333s will fly AMS-BOM.

Hey...Thanks for the information. But more specifically I was looking for information regarding timeline of deliveries for this year...and then into the future. I know we added 8 more A330's as a replacement for the DC-10, but I was under the impression that these extra 8 a/c would be delivered in addition to our other aircraft.

Also, last year every Europe flight was an A330 out of DTW (with the exception of sporadic LGW A330 service as the A330-200's came on board). I can understand when they added the 5th daily DTW-AMS (35/36) that this would be a DC-10. But I was wondering why FCO and LGW are DC-10's and when will they go back to being A330. Does this have to do with BOS having the A330? SEA? Anymore information is appreciated...

Cheers,

A330 deliveries for the remainder of 2005/early 2006 are as follows -
3309 A330-300 msn 0663 delivery 05/05
3310 A330-300 msn 0674 delivery 07/05
3311 A330-300 msn 0690 delivery 09/05
3358 A330-200 msn 0718 delivery 01/06
3359 A330-200 msn 0722 delivery 02/06

Deliveries after that are practically one a month from 09/06 through 9/07 with a final delivery in 12/07.

Remaining A330-300s will be delivered as follows, subject to changes:

3312 10/06
3313 12/06
3314 01/07
3315 02/07
3316 04/07
3317 06/07
3318 08/07
3319 09/07
3320 12/07

Remaining A330-200s will be delivered as follows:

3360 09/06
3361 11/06
3362 09/07

For the peak summer of 2005, A330-300 operations will be:
4 daily DTW-AMS
1 daily DTW-CDG
1 daily DTW-FRA
1 daily DTW-FCO
1 daily SEA-AMS

DC10 European operations will be
1 daily DTW-AMS
1 daily DTW-LGW
1 daily MSP-LGW
3 daily MSP-AMS
1 daily MEM-AMS
1 daily BOS-AMS
1 daily AMS-BOM

In the Fall, when DTW-FCO ceases. A330-300s will commence daily AMS-BLR
(Bangalore), and may well migrate back to DTW-LGW and/or BOS-AMS as well as perhaps one daily MSP-AMS rotation. Even though MSP-AMS does show one A330 MSP-AMS right now, this could well change. AMS-BOM will remain a DC10 operation for this Fall/Winter (and will become twice daily again seasonally). No idea when it will transition to the A330.

Hope this helps.

So only three A330 deliveries in 2005? Thats incredible how many will be delivered in 2007, however.
