I was just watching the JPV Sabena A330 video, which was very well done and enjoyable; on the final approach - as with most airliners now - voice callouts are made and in this case, it was a guy. Some aircraft have a female voice and it just occurred to me - is there a choice? Can airlines program their aircraft to have a particular voice?

You could have a particularly soothing or unique voice. James Earl Jones or some well known actress. Or you could have regional variations ... Jackie Mason for landings in New York, Sean Connery for Glasgow/Edinburgh, Kylie Minogue for SYD etc ...

Or perhaps Dan Castellanata; after any heavy landing, the crew would hear "D'oh!" ...

Just a thought!
